Best of Finschhafen

Pictures by DIANA ZURENUOC-MOU

East of Lae is Finschhafen, one of the most-beautiful places in the country, with a lot of history.

Its proximity to Lae and abundance of white sandy beaches make it a great weekend escape.

Butaweng waterfalls and Langemak Bay are the pick of the mainland swimming spots.

Morobe Governor Ginson Saonu hopes that the beauty and history of Finschhafen can help turn it into a thriving tourist destination.
